College of Agribusiness and Financial Management (CABFM)
|
The College employs innovative approaches to make her teaching practically relevant. In addition, she constantly updates and improves her course contents to anticipate and reflect the latest business trends in agriculture, financial management and related fields. Agribusiness and Financial Management is an essential means for actualizing the institution’s mission of training confident and competent educated farmers and financial managers capable of working on their own instead of the current dependence on public employment. Modern agriculture has taken a major change beyond farming to the need for intensified production, which requires technological and management skills both of human and material resources in the entire chain of food production. The basic philosophy therefore is to train and educate men and women that will acquire the knowledge and skill to manage both private and public sector agribusinesses and financial environments in such a way that output and services are maximized in the use of limited resources. The College has gained full accreditation for the Part-Time MBA Programmes and approval for her B.Sc. Agribusiness with options in Management, Marketing, Banking and Finance, and Accounting from the National Universities Commission. The College has been approved for ICAN, Public Accountants, ANAN and NIM Examinations Centres. The entrepreneurial centre has been packaged for solving youth and skill development related issues in the target communities. |
