College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET)

To prepare students to apply engineering principles to the living world of biology and agriculture.

  1. Provide the country with the necessary technological tools (knowledge, skills and machines) and the mental and physical resources for the scientific, technological and industrial solutions.
  2. Provide the nation with professionals in electrical/electronics engineering who would be able to design, construct, operate, install and maintain engineering components, machines, equipment and systems.
  3. Provide the nation with professionals in Civil Engineering who would plan, design, construct and maintain fixed structures and ground facilities for industry, transportation, water supply and pollution control systems, etc.
  4. To produce graduates with sound knowledge in the design, construction, application and maintenance of computer software and hardware.
Courses/Degrees we offer include the following:
  1. B. Eng. (Hons.) degree Agricultural Engineering.
  2. B. Eng. (Hons.) degree Mechanical Engineering.
  3. B. Eng. (Hons.) degree Civil Engineering.
  4. B. Eng. (Hons.) degree Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  5. B. Eng. (Hons.) degree Computer Engineering.

The College of Engineering and Engineering Technology was established in 2001/2002 academic session. The department of Agricultural Engineering was the first to be established, followed by the Departments of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Civil Engineering in 2003/2004 academic session. Computer Engineering came on board in 2004/2005 academic session.

Agricultural Engineering has three major options viz, Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural products processing and Food Engineering and Farm Power and Machinery. Mechanical Engineering has two major options: Thermal and Industrial and Production Engineering.

Electrical and Electronics has three options Electronics Engineering Technology and Electrical Power Systems Engineering.

The College has developed:

  • Solar dryer for multiple crop drying.
  • Cassava Pellet Machine.
  • Force Convention Kerosene dryer.
