The College offers professional training to students to equip them for self-employment or public service. The College undertakes focused research in diseases of animals relevant to the ecosystem, as well as the elimination of zoonotic diseases.

The basic philosophy of the College of Veterinary Medicine is that the recent advances in Science, Medicine and Technology can be harnessed for the good of man and his animals.
