Aims/Objectives

  1. The College gives particular emphasis to the prevalent animal diseases in the zone while giving adequate coverage to common animal diseases in the nation.
  2. It gives adequate and necessary instruction to students on the epidemiology of exotic diseases that could be introduced into the country by means of the prevailing globalization of trade and commerce.
  3. It aims at bringing knowledge of animal health to the grassroots of rural communities in which the bulk of the farmers live. The awareness so created will increase the consciousness of risks to be expected in animal husbandry,
  4. It provides service to farmers within its ecological zone of operation the rain forest zone, e.g. Vaccinations, diagnosis and general advice.
  5. It educates the population on risks involved in zoonotic diseases and work with the human health authorities in prevention and management.
