The Centre is a multidisciplinary research, training and development Centre. The Centre plays the strategic role of mainstreaming Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and allied Biosciences and technologies into the research and development activities of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture and collaborating institutions. The Centre is poised to use the applications of biotechnology in solutions of problems of human well being.
