3. Operations of ICT @ MOUAU

MOUAU in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with AfriHUB/Zinox Consortium is operating an ICT centre of excellence to bolster a sustainable ICT-enabled environment at the University campus and within its mandate zone and beyond. This is with a mission to ensure availability of high and sustainable ICT resources through quality management, control and maintenance of end user-oriented processes.

MOUAU is determined to be ICT-compliant in all her activities by the year 2010. Currently, all students of the University are exposed to ICT and are expected to take and pass a Universal Mandatory Information and Communication Training as a pre-requisite to graduation from the institution. The Centre operates the following local and international programmes:

  • High speed Internet access – day and night.
  • Wireless Internet services (WiFi), covering campus perimeter.
  • ICT training for students and staff (Train the Trainer).
  • ICT Certification programmes (CISCO, Microsoft Engineering, Oracle, Pros-oft, Prometric/Vue and CompTia).
  • Edu-Portal allowing for course content management.
  • E-learning and Digital library Services.
  • Career counselling & preparation and
  • Complete business centre services.
