Training Programme


A one day training programme for the Assistant Registrars, Administrative Officers and Administrative  Assistance of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike has ended with a call on the participants to strive to equip themselves adequately with the happenings in every unit of the University in order to be relevant to the system in which they work.
Speaking during the training which held at the lecture hall of the College of Natural Sciences, with the theme ,"The Committee System as an instrument of University Administration", the former Registrar of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Barrister Christian Chukwudi Okeke, disclosed that the training programme was part of his assignments for his one year sabbatical leave in the University.

Barrister Okeke who charged the officers to work harmoniously to move the University forward, stressed that administrators are expected to be diplomatic in carrying out their day to day assignment.
Welcoming the visiting Registrar immediate past Dean, College of  Natural Sciences, Prof. Ifeoma Ijeh urged the participants to maximize  the  opportunities provided by the training to   equip themselves for their daily chores as well as prepare themselves for their promotion examinations,
Speaking on behalf of the participants Mr Onyema Godswill ,thanked the organizers of the training which according to him will help bring out the best in them .He promised that the participants will try their best in imbibing all they have been taught to improve their productivity.
