The pupils/students of the Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections of the Demonstration Schools of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike were thrilled during their 2016 Christmas party at the Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge, when they were entertained by different characters like Mickey mouse, Barney, Father Christmas and Nkwa Umuagbogho dancing troope from Ebonyi State.

The chief host, Barr. Mrs Bertha Otunta, while welcoming the children, parents and their teachers expressed her joy for having them around her and urged them to be happy, free and enjoy the jokes, dances and whatever was there for them.

To the parents, she urged them to be kind to their children particularly in this season of Christmas; appreciate them when necessary and correct them when they err. Humility should be inculcated in the young hearts like the infant Jesus.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Francis O. Otunta wished every child, staff, parents and friends of MOUAU a happy Christmas, and charged the children to be obedient to their parents so that their days may be long.

This eventful party featured poem recitations, riddles and jokes, drama presentation, traditional dances and Christmas carols by the pupils and students, and cutting of the Christmas cake, with presentation of gifts to all children.
