To become a centre of excellence where technologies that are applicable in rural setting which enhance the quality of life of our rural populace will be developed. The Centre focuses on providing a place for research involving DNA fingerprinting, Bacteria identification, Environmental Risk Assessment, Bioremediation and monitoring, Disease detection especially in Agricultural plants and animals, Development of novel food sources through Biotechnological modification of our abundant Bio-Resources and Molecular marker assisted breed selection. |
