Admission Requirements – Postgraduate School

The requirements for admission into the postgraduate programme are as follows:

1. For a Ph.D programme, a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.00 is required on a 5 point scale or 3.00 on a 4 point scale as a minimum. In case of percentage, 60% is the required minimum.
2. For M.Sc. programme, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 is required on a 5 point scale or 2.50 on a 4 point scale.
3. Note that English language and Mathematics is compulsory at credit level for all candidates in addition to the requirement at undergraduate level for each Department.
4. For PGD holders, a CGPA of 3.50 is required for admission into M.Sc degree programmes.
5. For PGD admission, holders of Bachelor’s degree with CGPA of less than 3.00 on a 5 point scale or less than 2.50 on a 4 point scale or HND with a minimum of upper credit are eligible for admission.
6. M.Sc. holders with CGPA of less than 4 points can apply for a fresh M.Sc. in a different area of specialization from the former one.
