*WE WILL SUPPORT MOUAU IN RESTORING ITS UNDERGRADUATE ACCOUNTING PROGRAMME- AKINSULIRE*

More hope has come the way of the Accounting Department of the University, following an assurance of support for the restoration of it’s delisted undergraduate programme.
The assurance came when the Chairman, Mutual Cooperation Agreement with Tertiary Institutions (MCATI) and Students Affairs Committee, at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chief Oye Akinsulire, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe on Monday.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Akinsulire stated that ICAN and MOUAU have had a cordial relationship for almost seven years and that the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship.
Speaking further, the ICAN Committee Chairman disclosed that MOUAU is one of the 26 Universities accredited by ICAN, assuring that the institute will support her in restoring her delisted undergraduate programme in Accounting.
Chief Akinsulire also seized the opportunity of the visit to inform the VC about the ICAN annual conference coming up in November, and appealed to the management to support her staff who are ICAN members to attend.
Responding, Prof. Madu Ofo Iwe thanked ICAN for their support, expressing hopes that the University’s undergraduate Accounting programme will be restored with the support of ICAN.
The VC noted that the University is committed to the institute’s annual conference, adding that necessary approvals have been made for concerned staff to attend this year’s edition.
